A guide to Costa da Caparica by "What's On in Lisbon"

Just across the river from Lisbon is an 8-kilometer-long beach paradise known as the Costa da Caparica.
To get there, take a ferry from either Terreiro do Paço boat station in Praça de Comércio to Cacilhas, or from Belém boat station to Trafaria, and catch the buses marked "Costa da Caparica."
Alternatively, regular buses go directly to Costa da Caparica from Praça da Espanha in Lisbon.

In the summer, a miniature railway service (which leaves every half an hour) operates between beaches 1 and 20 and you can jump off the beach of your choice.
The last train back is at 7:30 pm and round trip to the end of the line costs 540 escudos (410Yen).
Each beach has its own facilities such as car park and refreshments.
A little further down the coast (but not on the railway line) are tranquil settings of Lagoa de Albufeira and Praia do Meco (the region's official naturist beach).

Our recommended restaurant in Amsterdam

In Amsterdam, we feel it is rather difficult for us to enjoy a dinner because a taste of Dutch food is interesting.
So we recommend Indonesian restaurants, and Indonesia had been a Dutch colony.
"Puri Mas" (located near Leidseplein) is one of them and popular among the locals because this restaurant serves delicious food to visitors.
We think this restaurant is worth visiting even if you have never tried Indonesian food.
Therefore we visited there twice since 1994.
